On November 3, 2012, Ellenore Faye Face, 92, of Yuma, was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born on October 30, 1920, in Beresford, South Dakota, to Albin and Grace Ambur. Ellenore was a homemaker, loving wife and mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ellenore was preceded in death by her parents Albin and Grace Ambur, and brothers Gilbert and Bill Ambur. Albert and Ellenore came to Yuma in 1945 where they homesteaded in the Bard Valley and were married for 70 years. Ellenore was always busy working in her garden, cooking, reading, sewing, playing bridge with friends, and helping the Yuma
Rotary Club by being a longtime Rotary Ann and a Paul Harris Fellow. Ellenore is survived by her loving husband of 70 years Albert, children Carol Kimbell (Shad), Ray Face (Debbie), Grandchildren Ann Clark-Wagner (Jason), Sarah Clark, Michael Face (Stephanie), Jonathan Face and Kiley Face, Great-Grandchildren Zeke and Leo Wagner, Cyrus Clark Boyd, Brothers Don Ambur (Avis) and Rob Ambur (Susan), and sister-in-law Marlys Ambur. Family and friends will gather on Thursday November 8, 2012 at 11:30 am at Christ Lutheran Church on Engler Avenue for a celebration of her life, a luncheon following the service, and then graveside service at 2:30 at Johnson's Mortuary and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Ellenore wishes family and friends would make donations to Hospice of Yuma.
