HUNLOCK CREEK — Elliott G. Bowman, 91, of Hunlock Creek, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Geisinger Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

He was born on Jan. 13, 1925. He was married to Mabel Bowman (Hutchins). He was a longtime member of Jehovah's Witness Muhlenburg Congregation.

Elliott is preceded in death by his parents, George and Madge Bowman (Leonard); siblings, Ralph Bowman and Dora Hillard (Bowman); and grandson, Jason Presnal.

Elliott is survived by wife, Mabel Bowman (Hutchins), of Hunlock Creek; three children, Madge Cleghorn (Bowman) and husband, Danny, of Georgia, Elliott Bowman Jr., of Hunlock Creek, and Raymond Sr., and wife, Sonia Bowman (Eckrote), of Hunlock Creek; sister, Maxine Davidson (Bowman); six grandchildren, Wanda Slater (Cleghorn), George Cleghorn, Angela Hernandez (Cleghorn), Raymond Bowman Jr., Kelly Littleton (Bowman) and husband, Nathan, and Eric Bowman; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, in Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Muhlenburg. Daniel Inman will be officiating.
