We mourn the passing of Elmer Watson, who was born on August 13, 1960 in Valparaiso, Indiana, United States. He was the beloved son of David and Francene Watson, and the devoted husband of Laurie Watson, whom he married in 2011. Elmer was a loving and dedicated father to his three children, April Rolson, Michael Watson, and Skylar Watson. He has 6 grandchildren Taylor Rolson, Katlyn Rolson, William Rolson Nathaniel Watson, Collyn Watson and Landyn Watson. He also has 6 great grandchildren! He is also survived by 2 brother's and 2 sister's Richard Watson(Barbara) of Monticello, David Watson(Vernell) of Farmer city, Betty Watson of Clinton,I'll and Mary Ingersoll(William) of Farmer City. He was proceeded in death by his parents! And beloved horse Magic, best friend Willie(Dog)

Elmer was a hardworking laborer at Local 703, where he poured his heart and soul into his work. When he wasn't working, Elmer enjoyed riding horses, fishing, camping, and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Elmer's passing on July 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Elmer will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.

Elmer "Gene" was a good man. A family man and if he loved you, you knew it. 💯 I'm sending prayers for peace and comfort. When you are sad, remember he is always tucked safely in your hearts along with sweet family memories. RIP Gene.....until we meet again.
