Elmer L. AmickJuly 23,1934 - April 20,2016 On April 20, 2016 the Lord came with arms wide open to lead Elmer L. Amick to his place in heaven. Elmer was born on July 23, 1934 in Spencer, IA to parents Oscar and Ruth Amick. Elmer proudly served his country in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. Upon his discharge he began to work as a self employed contractor in Minnesota. Where he met and married his wife of 62 years Gennette. The couple moved to Yuma, AZ in 1982. Elmer is survived by his wife Gennette of Yuma,, AZ; sons David (Susan), and Lloyd (Lori) of Minnesota and Timothy of Yuma,AZ; daughters Nancee of Oregon and Jeanna Jenson of Tucson, AZ. As well as twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Oscar; mother Ruth, sister Dorothy and brother Marvin. Private services will be held for Elmer out of state. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Humane Society of Yuma in his name.
