Elmer SmithFINDLAY: Elmer Smith, 75, of Findlay passed away at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on Feb. 11, 1942 in Irvington, KY to the late Eli and Della (Poe) Smith. He married Phyllis Ann Rigby on July 25, 1964, she preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 2008. On Feb. 3, 2010 he married Patricia Irene (Claus) Koon and she preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 2016. He is survived by a son, Keith Smith; daughter, Kim Smith; granddaughter, Amy M.Walker and great-grandson, Solomon De'andre Poindexter, all of Findlay. A sister, Pearl Bibbee and a brother, Jack (Kathy) Smith also survive. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Lawrence; James; Wendall; Lonnie and Clay Smith; sisters, Betty Smith; Thelma Clark; and Opal Adkins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Blanchard Avenue Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Leonard Roessler officiating. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens, Findlay. Visitation will be held from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
