Elsie E. Brown1926 - 2016Elsie E. Brown, 90, of Kenosha passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.She was born on May 5, 1926, in Kenosha; she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Knezek) Gomaz, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and attended local schools.On Feb. 12, 1949, in Waukegan, Ill., she was united in marriage to Floyd Brown Sr. He preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 2007.Elsie enjoyed doing word search and puzzles, camping with her daughter, driving her Jeep, writing letters and sending cards to family and friends and going out to breakfast and lunch.Surviving are her five children, Floyd "Butch" (Jean) Brown Jr. of Kenosha, Bruce (Roxanne) Brown of Kenosha, Norma (Gary) Caputo of Union Grove, Wis., Donald (Karen) Brown of Wauseon, Ohio, Marie (Jason) Brown of Salem, Wis.; eleven grandchildren, Heidi (Eric), Adam, Keith (Stephanie), Brian, Kristina (Michael), Scott, Alyssa (Josh), Jennifer (Kurt), Christopher, Michael (Janet), Mathew (Maria); 11 great grandchildren, Sarah, Aubrey, Jackson, Alexis, Brenna, Bryleigh, Dillion, Kaylen, Logan, Skyler and Eathan. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd; one sister Mary Zelenski; five brothers, John, Samuel, Thomas, Elias and Jacob Gomaz Jr.A visitation will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, July 23, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery.
