Elsie Murree (Adair) KarrFREMONT: Elsie Murree (Adair) Karr, 89, of Fremont, OH passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 23, 2016. She was born on November 18, 1927 in Clyde, OH to George and Bernice (Vickery) Adair. Elsa as she was called graduated from York School in Bellevue, OH. She married Robert Leroy Karr, Sr. on August 3, 1946 in Florence, KY and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2007. She worked at Billy's Restaurant in her early years and also at Serwin's Restaurant. Elsa then worked at Eaton Controls for twenty-five years until they closed the Fremont plant in 1991.Elsa loved to watch her stories on TV, other programs too. In her early years she was a great homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She loved planting flowers every spring and spending time with each and every one of her family and friends. She was a devoted Christian.Surviving Elsa are her four children, Joyce (Jack) Goodwin, Patricia (Nick) Williams, Nanci Parks and Robert (Kathy) Karr, Jr., all of Fremont, OH; brother, Jacque Adair, Fremont, OH; thirteen grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of sixty-one years, Robert Karr, Sr., and eight siblings.Visitation: Tuesday from 3 to 7 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH.Service: Wednesday, December 28, 2016, 11:30 am at Grace Community Church, 900 Smith Rd, Fremont, with one hour of visitation at church prior to the service.
