Clift, Elvin C. 88, of Wichita, KS, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Wichita. Elvin was born on January 26, 1928 in Marshfield, MO, the son of Roy and Elizabeth (Cantrell) Clift. Elvin and Shirley Clift were united in marriage on March 8, 1952 in Mountain Home, AR. He retired after 37 years in 1990 from Allen's Concrete Company in Wichita as a truck driver. He served as a deacon and was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Guy Clift, Hugh Clift, Louise Deckard, Emmogene Bruton, Bob Clift and Orville Clift. Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley Clift of Wichita; daughters, Janet (Jim) Decker of Wichita, Paula (Dana) Honea of Wichita; siblings, John Clift of Niangua, MO, Russell (Mary Ann) Clift of Marshfield, MO, Virginia VanZandt of Springfield, MO, Evalee Collins of Seymour, MO; grandchildren, Amber (Honea) Tshitundu and her husband, Zenas of Wichita, Austin Honea of Ft. Worth, TX, Jameson Decker, Pensacola, FL, Jennifer (Decker) Hamilton and her husband, Luke of Goddard, KS. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 525 W. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS. Memorials can be made to the Metropolitan Baptist Church or Kansas Humane Society.
