Elyda "Marie" Brandt Andrews, 77, of Kingwood, TX passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Houston, TX. Marie was born on August 14, 1935 to Clifford and Jeannette Brandt in Deluth, Minnesota.

Marie married Gerald, May 23, 1958 in the Chapel of TCU, they graduated together in 1959 where she got her Bachelors of Science in nursing, then she got her Masters in nursing at TWU and later she attended Texas A & M where she got her Ph.D. She worked at Texas Woman's University from 1974 to 2001.

Marie is survived by her husband Gerald L. Andrews, sons, Kendall P. Dittmer, Darrell G. Andrews (Sheryl), daughter, Kristie A Westberg (Bill M.), granddaughters, Katherine Tyler, Grabriella Romero, Olivia Andrews, and Kori Andrews.

Proceeded in death by her parents, and daughter Diane L. Andrews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Restwood Funeral Home.
