Emery Woodard was born on September 21, 1950, in Miami, Florida, United States. He passed away on April 6, 2023, at the age of 72.

Emery was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and loyal friend. He had a deep passion for music and loved playing the guitar. His friends and family knew him as an avid sports fan and a dedicated volunteer who helped out in his community whenever he could.

Emery attended Miami High School and went on to study at Florida State University, where he graduated with honors. He then became a lawyer and worked as a public defender for many years before retiring.

Emery was married to his wife, Maria, for 45 years. They had three children together, Jason, Michelle, and David. Emery was also blessed with six grandchildren whom he loved more than anything.

Emery had a kind heart and was always there for his family and friends. He was known for his infectious smile, contagious laughter, and for being a great listener. His family and friends will miss him dearly and will always remember the impact he had on their lives.

Emery is survived by his wife, Maria; his children, Jason, Michelle, and David; his six grandchildren; and his brother, John. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Woodard.

A memorial service will be held on April 12, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Saint Agatha Catholic Church in Miami, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Emery's memory.
