Winkler, Emily E.Emily E. Winkler, age 94, of Plover, formerly of the Town of Hull, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2017, at her daughters home while under the care of Ministry Hospice. Emily was born on June 29, 1923, in Stevens Point, the daughter of the late Felix and Susan (Drewa) Kuzynski.Her marriage to Henry Winkler took place on August 30, 1941, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Henry died on Jan. 1, 2011. They couple farmed in the Town of Hull for many years.Life was not easy and she worked very hard all her life, but God used her long life to have a compassionate heart for others.Emily was very kind and a good listener and helpful to others. I was deeply blessed to have her as my loving mother. Others were blessed to have her as a friend or relative.She was a member of the St. Peter Rosary Society for over 30 years and a member of St. Peters Catholic Church for 65 years. She enjoyed baking, especially apple pies, and canning, gardening, traveling and going to Vegas and her many trips to Canada.Survivors include one daughter, Delores "Dolly" (Alvin) Runke of Plover. Two grandchildren, Julie Ann Burroughs Taylor and Scott (Samantha) Burroughs. Three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, and Dakota. Three great-great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six step- great-grandchildren and one sister, Theresa (Clarence) Zelinski of Butler. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Irene Gollonik and two brothers, Emil and Gregory. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday Oct. 20 2017, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will follow in St. Casimir Parish Cemetery, Town of Hull. Visitation on Friday from 9:00a.m. until time of service in the St. Faustina room at the church.
