LEWISBERRY Emily Kate Groft, 17, died Sunday, August 23, 2015, from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born on March 28, 1998, a daughter of Patrick E. Groft of Lewisberry and Malisa M. Madison of New Cumberland. Emily was a beautiful young lady, inside and out, who had a tremendous love for her family. She will be sorely missed by her sister, Hannah, brother, Benjamin, and her devoted grandparents, Jo Anne and Donald Groft of Lewisberry, Joan Madison of Dover and Donald and Ida Madison of Glenville, as well as her father's fiancee, Michelle Darr. Emily was a typical teenager. She loved her music and was always surrounded by the many friends who adored her. She loved being around children and enjoyed babysitting or playing with any of her many cousins. Emily was also a hard-working young woman, who was often found at L.H. Gross Manorette in Lewisberry or at Little Caesar's Pizza in New Cumberland. In addition, Emily is survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins who loved being around such a vibrant and caring person. Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the funeral, which will begin at 11 a.m. Visitation and funeral will be at the Lewisberry United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lewisberry United Methodist Church, 309 Market St., Lewisberry PA 17339.
