Emma Harris, age 82, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at her residence. She was a native of Lemonville, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Emma was a former employee of Charity and Touro Hospitals. Beloved wife of the late August Harris. Loving mother of Joyce Ero, Adrienne L. Harris, and Late Barbara Harris. Daughter of the late Lawrence Harris and Magnolia Robertson-Harris. Granddaughter of the late Morris Robertson, Eliza Jones Robertson, Ambrose and Louise Garrison. Sister of Ambrose (Gwendolyn) Garrison, Mary Alice Garrison (Floyd) Miles and the late Herman Smith; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Zion Baptist Church, 1131 Garden Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 5th, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Austin Dennis, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
