Emma F. "Big Jean" Hinkle, 86Emma F. "Big Jean" Hinkle, 86, of Wolcott, died at 6:23 pm, November 6, 2013 at Whispering Pines of Monticello. She was born on November 15, 1926 in Somerset, KY to Omer and Ella (Hudson) Burton. Emma was a loving mother and raised 5 children on her own. She was a waitress and barmaid all of her life, and owned BJ's Cafe in Goodland. She had a green thumb and especially loved her flowers. She was an avid yard-saler and enjoyed collecting antiques. She is survived by her children, Lester G. Fix II of Wolcott, Walter E. Owens (fiancé: Linda) of Wolcott, Jessie D. Berry (wife: Konda) of Carmel, and Kathie F. Aiken of Wolcott; four siblings, Zella Jones, Walt Burton, Mary Jane Porter, and Fay Burton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lester G. Fix III, Chase M.W. Berry, and S. Shae Berry; and a great-granddaughter, Kiara N. Fix. Preceding her in death with her parents are a son, Keith R. Osborn; two brothers, Rosco "Jack" Burton and Ray Burton; and a sister, Helen Inman. Friends may call from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 12 pm (noon), Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott. Pastor Jeremy Church to officiate.
