Horneck, Emma JaneEmma Jane Horneck, 92, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, December 24, 2016, at St. Anne's Salvatorian Home, Milwaukee.She was born on October 20, 1924, in Fredricktown, Missouri, a daughter of Herman and Jessie Schulte. At the age of 16, she went to college and graduated in 1945, from St. John's School of Nursing, St. Louis, Missouri.On November 15, 1945, she married Dr. Herbert G. Horneck, in Fredricktown, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1995.Emma worked at St. Agnes Hospital for over 20 years as a registered nurse in the recovery room. She enjoyed playing bridge.Emma was a member of St. Mary's Church of Holy Family Parish.She is survived by two sons: Richard (Carmella) Horneck of Appleton and Michael (Patti) Horneck of Wauwatosa; six grandchildren: Rick (Kari), Ryan (Candi), Kristi (Brian) Swanson, Joellen (Dan) Bradach, Daniel, and Anne; seven great-grandchildren; and two nieces: Patty and Kathy.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.VISITATION: The visitation will be from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016, at St. Mary's Church, 59 East Merrill Avenue, Fond du Lac.SERVICE: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at St. Mary's Church.Entombment will be at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park.Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory is serving the family, www.kurkimachfuneralchapel.com. 920-921-4420In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Anne's Salvatorian Home, 3800 N. 92nd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53222-2504.
