MartinsvillePfau, Emma Marie (Voit),98, Martinsville, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home.She was born on Sunday, July 14, 1918, in Louisville to the late William and Emma (Schafner) Voit, Sr. Marie was a native of Louisville and moved to Martinsville in 1985 to reside with daughter Barbara and family. She was a charter member of St Stephen Lutheran Church in Fern Creek, and an associate member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Indianapolis, IN. Before Marie was married, she worked at AT&T Long Distance for four years. During World War II she worked in the offices of Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington. After the war Marie became a full-time homemaker and mother of four children. Her proudest accomplishment was being a Christian wife, mother and grandmother. She was always proud of her children and grandchildren.She had traveled extensively to 45 states, Mexico, Germany, and Switzerland.She is survived by her children, Ray Pfau and wife Donna of San Antonio, TX, Barbara Pfau Klemesrud and husband Byron of Martinsville, Sharon Pfau Haughton and husband Herb of Quincy, FL; seven grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester Perry Pfau, whom she married on December 25, 1940 and he passed away in 1993; son, David Pfau; brothers, William Voit, Jr., Charles Voit and Bud Voit.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Resurrection Lutheran Church, 445 East Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Pastor Dave Schreiber officiating. Visitation will be at Costin Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday two hours prior to the service starting at 9 a.m. There will also be a service at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 5903 Bardstown Road, Fern Creek, KY 40291 with Pastor Kerri McFarland officiating.
