Yuma, Arizona – Enrique R. Fletes, 86, died on the afternoon of July 25th, 2016 at Yuma Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Enrique was born on May 9th, 1930 in Juchitlan, Jalisco, Mexico. He was the second oldest son of Jose Fletes Fernandez and Lucia Robles Corona.Enrique had a business partnership with the late Gene Shay, his son Dan Shay and the whole Shay Oil Company staff for 40 years in San Luis, Arizona. He was also Secretary of Tourism under the administration of Mayor of San Luis R.C., Fausto Ochoa Medina. Besides his jobs and responsibilities, Enrique was also a long time server of his local community, San Luis R.C. Sonora, as a member of the
Rotary Club. During his time as a Rotarian, he served as president in two different occasions, as well as treasurer, secretary, Rotary foundation director, RYLA coordinator and as International liaison with clubs from Yuma and Lake Havasu, Arizona, and Imperial, California.Besides being an honest, hard working man and server of the community, he also enjoyed spending time with his family in different kinds of celebrations, where it was common to see him dancing and singing rancheras with his sons and siblings. He also enjoyed traveling to places like Laughlin, Las Vegas, South California and different parts of his own homeplace Jalisco. He is mainly remembered by his honesty, responsibility and constant sense of humor.Enrique is survived by his wife Matilde, six children, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and two more great grand children on the way this fall.Visitation services will be held this Friday, July 29th , 2016 at Funeraria Del Paraiso Capilla #3 located on Callejon Revolucion and Calle 5ta. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9am on Saturday, July 30th, 2016 by Father Alan Robles Cornejo at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Church, located on the corner of Avenida Madero and Calle 10. Funeral services will take place immediately following mass at Panteon Municipal #1 located on Avenida Revolucion and Calle 40. All events will take place in San Luis R.C. Sonora, Mexico.
