Eric Braswell, a beloved member of the Waldorf, Maryland community, passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 63. He was born on April 7, 1960, to his loving parents, Edward Keith Braswell and Ethel Mae Washington Braswell.

As a dedicated husband and father, Eric was the proud parent of four children. His eldest daughter, Kiersten Braswell, his son Eric Braswell Jr., and his two stepchildren, Brittney Smith and Justin Smith, brought immense joy to his life. Eric cherished his role as a father and nurtured a close bond with each of his children.

Eric was also a grandfather to eight wonderful grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He adored spending time with them and cherished every moment together.

Professionally, Eric made great strides at the Monessen Steel Mill, where he worked diligently for many years. His unwavering dedication and strong work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Prior to his career at Monessen Steel Mill, Eric served in the Army, where he proudly represented his country and demonstrated great bravery and honor. His service to the nation was a testament to his selflessness and commitment to protecting others.

Beyond his professional and military achievements, Eric was known for his warm heart and kind spirit. He had a genuine love for his family and friends, and his infectious smile could brighten any room. Eric's compassionate nature led him to always offer a helping hand to those in need.
