Erlene C. PaceNovember 8, 2016Erlene C. Pace was born on March 1, 1932 in Mount Washington, KY to her parents Frank and Maedell Carrithers. She passed away on November 8, 2016 in Ft. Myers, FL at the age of 84.Erlene is survived by her 5 children Linda Pace Gonsalves, Glenn (Donna) Pace, Mark Pace, Jerry Pace, and Susan Pace-Greer; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother in law Charles Thayer; and her sister in law Phyllis Carrithers; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. Erlene was a Navy wife of over 20 years and spent most of her career as an office manager and administrator. She retired with over 20 years committed to Florida Mining and Materials. Erlene loved to play bridge with her friends, enjoyed traveling, and most of all being with her family. Erlene was an honorable lady who provided the best of guidance to her family. She taught us to never judge based upon looks or color of skin. Always treat others the way you would want to be treated and that forgiveness is key to happiness. Everyone deserves a second chance.Erlene's final wish was to have cremation and a private family celebration of her life. In her memory, you may make a donation to ASPCA, any animal refuge, or to Hope Hospice in lieu of flowers. Her ultimate request was for everyone to perform acts of kindness.
