Erma KieferJan. 12, 1942 - Dec. 15, 2016NILES - Erma Joan “Mo” Kiefer, 74, residing in Niles, Michigan, passed away at 12:28 AM Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana.Erma was born on January 12, 1942, in Niles, MI, to the late Edward Lester Erickson and Myrna (Campbell) Erickson, and has been a lifelong resident of Niles. Erma was a 1960 graduate of Niles Community High School.On August 27, 1961, in Niles, Erma was united in marriage to Larry Kiefer, who survives. They met as high school sweethearts and recently celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary. Erma cherished her role as a homemaker and enjoyed being a co-owner, with her husband, of Superior Car Care of Niles. Erma worshipped at Hope Community Church, Niles, MI, and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a strong prayer warrior. For her, it was “God First...Family Second.”Erma is survived by her husband, Larry Kiefer of Niles; daughters, Dawn Marie (John) Quebedeau of Castillian Springs, TN, and Renae Grace (Jeffery) Davis of Niles, MI; sons, Dan R. Kiefer of Mishawaka, IN, and Randy Scott (Elaine) Kiefer of Elkhart, IN; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Swartz of Buchanan, MI, Virginia (Nolan) Spaulding of Niles, MI, Ruth (Kennard) Feltz of New Carlisle, IN; and her twin sister, Mryna (William) VanBrocklin of South Bend, IN; and brother, John (Ruth) Erickson of Galien, MI.Funeral services for Erma Joan “Mo” Kiefer will be at 1:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2016, at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Graveside services will follow at Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, IN. Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 2:00 PM till 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
