Ernest Earhart, 88MONTPELIER - Ernest Earhart, 86, of Muncie, IN, passed away at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at his residence in Muncie, IN.He was born on Sunday, March 23, 1930, in Wells County, IN. He married Susan Cooper Earhart on Monday, August 20, 1962 in Montpelier, IN. Ernest had attended Jackson High School in Wells Co. He had worked for Hoosier Grain Elevator and Indiana Box Corp., both of Montpelier. Ernest had formerly lived on Balbec Road in Jay Co. before moving to Muncie. He enjoyed fishing, splitting wood, driving around and loved spending time with his grandchildren.Loving survivors include: his wife, Susan (Cooper) Earhart, Muncie, IN; daughters, Janet Sue Lewis, Muncie, IN, Tammy Jo (husband, Tom) Parker, Muncie, IN, sisters, Alice Marie (Bud) Waldon, Poneto, IN, Mary (husband, Dorsey) Price, Poneto, IN; sister-in-law, Stella Earhart, Montpelier, IN; granddaughter, Amber Lewis; grandsons, Scott Kohler, Sam Parker and Steve Parker; and three great-grandchildren, and several Nieces & nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Earhart; mother, Susan Dortha (Brinneman) Earhart; and brothers, Earl and Orva Earhart.Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W., Windsor St., Montpelier on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.A service to celebrate Ernest's life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 with the Pastor Dave Hirshey officiating.
