Ernest F. BishopErnest F. Bishop, 72, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Ernest was born on April 28, 1944 in Ogden, Utah to Grant and Florence Bishop. At a young age Ernest and his family moved to Fort Collins where they set their roots. Ernest married Ruth Elliott in the year 1964 in Fort Collins. They were later divorced. He began work as a Foreman for a concrete company and retired as a Bobcat Operator with the concrete company, EDGE. Ernest loved riding his Honda Goldwing with his brothers, watching stock car races at the Colorado National Speedway, camping, playing cards and horseshoes, and watching the Broncos. He is survived by his children, Charles Bishop, Cindy Hernandez, and Debra Bishop; brother, Gary Bishop; sisters, Larue Dreiling and Darlene (Olin) Tucker; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, Donald and Burton Bishop; and sister, Verna Lee.A visitation will be held 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday at Resthaven Funeral Home.
