GRABILL — Ernest W. "Ernie" Magner, 70, died Friday, March 27, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on November 21, 1944, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the late Wilbur P. and Virgie (Calhoun) Magner. He married Fern Lengacher on November 20, 1971, at Central Mennonite Church in Fort Wayne. Surviving are his wife, Fern Magner of Grabill, Indiana; a sister, Margaret Magner of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a brother-in-law, Walter (Jeanette) Lengacher of Leo, Indiana; sisters-in-law, Joann (Henry) Byler of Leo, Indiana, and Doris (Don) Holm of Leo, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Ernie worked as a foreman at Plastic Composites factory and for the past 10 years had been working as a cashier at Ricker's in Leo. He loved fishing, playing cards and bowling. Calling will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at The Ekklesia in Harlan, 12616 Spencerville Road, Harlan, Indiana. Services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. with calling one hour prior at The Ekklesia in Harlan. Pastors Bill Striegel and James Graber will officiate.
