Ernest was born in Birmingham, AL on June 8, 1956. At the age of 12, he and his family relocated to Detroit, Michigan when his life transitioned on December 27, 2024.

Speedy was the son of Ernest Chambers Sr. and Constance Marie, and he is survived by four siblings - Geoffrey, Effrium, Terald and Stephanie, his three children, Colibri, Bianca, and Stephan. He was also a grandfather to two grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, aunts and uncles. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and an Optical License in lab assisting. An additional memorial will be held for all to attend and share in remembrance of “Speedy” Summer 2025.

Although Speedy may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Rest in peace, Speedy, and may you forever be surrounded by the joy and laughter you brought to so many.
