Ernesto Lovato, of Holman, NM, born on Dec. 10, 1929, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2013 at the age of 83. He is preceded in death by his son Edwin Lovato, granddaughter Vanessa Lucy Lovato; parents, Celso and Ambrosita Lovato; sisters, Emilia Vigil, Mary Lovato and brother Porfirio Lovato.Ernesto is survived by his wife of 60 years, Isabel Lovato; his sons, Henry Lovato (Vicky), Vincent Lovato (Jackie), Michael Lovato (Shannon), and Ernest Lovato (Tanya); daughters, Yolanda Medina (Eutavio), Loretta Medina, Carla Lovato and Melissa Lovato (Micheal); 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren along with brothers, Celso Lovato Jr., Samuel Lovato; sisters Nora Maes (Gilbert), Anita LaRan (Donald), Martha Lovato and numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral services were to be held at Saint Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora today (Monday). A rosary was to begin at 9 a.m., followed by celebration of the funeral mass at 10 a.m. with Father Dolter as celebrant. With respect to Mr. Lovato's final wishes, cremation will follow and burial services will take place at a later date.
