Luebke, Ervin D.Ervin D. Luebke, 73 years, passed away December 20, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center-Oshkosh, Wisconsin after a decade long dialysis treatment showing his courage, fortitude, and strength of spirit. He was born on October 26, 1943 in Neenah, Wisconsin to his loving parents Daniel J. and Mable (Hanson) Luebke. He received his auto mechanic education at Dan Luebke Service Center, his father's shop. Working at WISCO for a time he returned to do what he loved, working on cars. He worked for his father as well at Goss Auto body and later Midway Service Center, until his body forced him to retire in 2006.On October 28, 1962 Ervin eloped to Michigan to marry his one and only love, Carole Jean (Taves) Luebke. Together they raised their family in Menasha. Ervin was truly a jack of all trades. His interest in electronics and the latest computer systems, quilting, Menasha Auxiliary Police protecting Martin Luther King Jr., Boy Scout Leader- Order of the Arrow, gun marksmanship, and a long standing member of the Fox Valley Street Rod Association where he built the engine for raffles were among his many talents. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family camping, snowmobiling through the winter, street rods in the summer, or EAA with his grandchildren.He will be missed by his wife Carole Jean (Taves) Luebke, children Brian John (Rhonda) Luebke, Dawn Marie (Jeffrey) Lehman, Jodi Lee (Thomas) Butler, grandchildren Emily Luebke, Olivia (Jay) Fischer, Zachary (Katrina) Hynes, Nathan Hynes; Devon John Lehman, Jessica Lee Lehman, Jacqueline Lynn Lehman; Allyssa Luebke, Riley Butler, Ryan Butler, 8 great-grandchildren, siblings Dennis (Linda) Luebke, Marci (Bob) Braun, Charles (Ann) Luebke, Robert Luebke, Aubrey (John) Kramer, Susan (Andy) Jankowski, sisters-in-law LynLee Luebke, Carole's siblings Richard (Nancy) Taves, Robert (Shirley) Taves, Beverly (Richard) Schmidt, Jack (Mary) Taves, and Tim (Mary) Taves. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Ervin was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Mable, brothers Ronald and Arden Luebke, sister Sharon(Ralph) Luedke, Carole's parents Richard and Grace Taves, and sister-in-law Lori Taves.A Time of Sharing for Ervin will be on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 7:30 pm at Wichmann-Fargo Tri-County Chapel, 1592 Oneida St., Menasha. Private inurnment. Family and friends may gather at the Tri-County Chapel from 4 pm until Time of Sharing.Ervin's family thanks the staffs at the ER of St. Elizabeth, the ICU Unit of Mercy Medical Center, Fresenius Dialysis and Chaplain Nathan Bettiger for their professional and loving care of him.A memorial fund will be established."Thank you for our journeys, in life and love.
