Esther Lopez, 93, of Loyalsock Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 18, 2019, from natural causes. Esther was born in Puerto Rico on May 17, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Juan and Lydia Arroyo. 

Esther married Julio Lopez on February 19, 1949, and shared 54 years of marriage until his death in 2003. 

She was a doting mother and grandmother who enjoyed oil painting, reading, crossword puzzles, traveling and flower arranging. Esther is survived by a son and daughter, Samuel Lopez and Noemi Bennetti of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren, Tisa Keating, Samuel Lopez, Janice Courtney, Thomas Bennetti and Michele Bennetti; and nine great-grandchildren.
