Behnke, Esther M.Esther M. Behnke, age 67, a Manitowoc resident, died Monday, September 19, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, Sheboygan Falls.She was born on October 7, 1948 in Two Rivers, daughter of Esther (Schley) Rasmussen and the late Orville Rasmussen. Esther was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1966. On March 18, 1967 she married Leslie Behnke in Manitowoc. Esther was employed part-time with Jagemann Stamping. She enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and taking short road trips to gaming casinos.Survivors include her husband: Les Behnke, Manitowoc; three sons: Andrew Behnke and special friend Zorica Dent, St. Nazianz, Allen Behnke (Lisa Behnke) Manitowoc, Russel Behnke, Oshkosh; two granddaughters: Jenna & Brandy; her mother: Esther Rasmussen, Manitowoc; seven sisters and brothers-in-law: Donna (Edward) Reznichek, Evelyn (Gerald) LeClair, Marie (Lloyd) Rohr, Doris (Robert) Sitman, Joyce (Steven) Vetter, Karen (Terry) Welnicke, Diane Klein & special friend Al Levenhagen; one brother and sister-in-law: Orville & Jerilyn Rasmussen; and two sisters-in-law: Audrey Behnke and Karen Behnke. Also surviving are 38 nieces and nephews, 80 great nieces and nephews; 10 great great nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Orville Rasmussen; a baby brother: Kenneth Rasmussen; a special niece: Vicki Vetter; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ferdinand & Geraldine Behnke; two brothers-in-law: Fritz & Dallas Behnke; and a special friend: Elouise Pfeffer.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Christopher Hoppe.
