Easther Pope, 82, of Clinton, North Carolina, passed on July 10, 2023. Esther was born on May 19, 1941, in Sampson County, Clinton, North Carolina to the late William and Alice Blue. She was the oldest of 8 children. (Five sisters and three brothers). She was preceded in death by 1 brother, 2 sisters; William Blue, Elizabeth Speller, Annie Jane Blue, her husband Cephas Sr., and her Son, Jeffery Charles Pope. She is survived by: Cephas Jr., Michael, Tyrone, Allison, Jack, William Dexter, Michael Butler, Tasha Wortham, Sharonda, Madeline - Asia Ann, Jahmari, and Arden; Her sisters Eliza Vann, and Willa Dean Robinson, brothers are Edward Charles Blue, and Bishop Robert Blue, Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Esther was married to Cephas Pope Sr. and moved to Wyandanch, Long Island, New York. While raising 7 children, she went back to school and became a teacher at Headstart. They retired back to Clinton, NC in the 1990's. She was also a foster parent to many children and adopted 4 of them. She was a member of Union Chapel A.M.E. Zion in Garland, NC, until her health, failed. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family and she was a hard worker. Esther loved to travel with her family and friends and lived a long productive life full of joyful and loving memories. She may be gone but not forgotten!
