Pastoor, Esther T.Esther T. (Hoekstra) Pastoor, age 94, of Sheboygan, WI went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2017.Esther was born on July 17, 1922 in Little Rock, Iowa. She was one of seven children of the Rev. Engelhart and Stella Furda. She received a teaching degree from Central College (Pella, IA) and taught school in Chicago. She married Jack Hoekstra on June 6, 1947. Jack passed away on August 28, 1956. She married Dan Pastoor on February 19, 1960.Esther is survived by her husband Dan Pastoor; 3 children: Randy (Carol) Hoekstra, Candy (John) Piersma and Jeff (Sue) Pastoor. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and her sisters Mary Thompson and Evelyn (Ted) Meekma. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.She enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad. She was involved at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, serving in many different ways and particularly in the Coffee Break Bible Studies.A visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 2313 Saemann Avenue, Sheboygan, followed by a Memorial Service at 3 pm.Memorial contributions can be made to Pine Haven Christian Communities or Sheboygan County Christian School.Isaiah 43:1 "I have called you by name, you are mine."
