San Juan, TX - Esther Zepeda Herrera, 78, went to be with God on Saturday, December 10, 2016 surrounded by her family.She was born on October 22, 1938 in McAllen to Estanislado and Candida Ortega. She was a long time resident of McAllen and San Juan,Texas. She was owner and operator of Triple City Florist in Pharr for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; Siblings Rene Ortega, Reynaldo Ortega, Hortencia "Jackie" OrtegaStanley Ortega, Oscar Ortega, Eloy Ortega, Mike Ortega, Lee Ortega, and Lupe Ortega. Esther is survived by her husband, Leopoldo Herrera; her children, Luis Zepeda (Dominga), Rolando Zepeda (Lilia), Alfredo Zepeda (Yvette), Melissa Zepeda-Vallejo (Scott), Laura Zepeda, Leticia J. Mora (Joe). Sisters, Alicia Rodriguez and Graciela "Grace" Villarreal; Brothers Joel Ortega, Jorge Ortega, and Tomas Ortega; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Prayer service will be at 7:00 PM. Graveside service will be on Thursday December 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
