Van Cuyk, Ethan ScottEthan S. Van Cuyk, age 26, of Middleton, formerly of Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday, November 20, 2016. He was born on March 17, 1990, son of Gary and Julie (Mauer) Van Cuyk. After graduating from Kaukauna High School, Class of 2008, Ethan attended UW Madison and attained a bachelor's degree in Bio Chemistry in 2012. He was currently pursuing his Doctor of Pharmacy at UW Madison. Ethan worked at Pharmaceutical Product Development for the last 4 years. Ethan had a passion for volleyball. He played all four years of high school and then in college as often as he could. He was extremely dedicated to whatever he was doing, whether it was playing the piano for 10 years, high school sports, his schooling or his career. Ethan was a quiet, gentle mannered, genuine young man. He had a kind spirit, a likeable personality and a contagious smile that will be deeply missed. Ethan is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Julie Van Cuyk; brothers: Brad (Katie) and Ryun (Denise) Van Cuyk; a sister, Lexi Van Cuyk; nieces and nephews: Collin, Allyssa, Everett, Michael and Sylas Van Cuyk; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Ethan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Marion Van Cuyk; maternal grandparents, Ralph and Patricia Mauer; and a cousin, Justin Mauer. A time of visitation will be held TONIGHT, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 101 Canal Street, Little Chute. To help honor Ethan, the family is requesting that you wear your favorite Badger apparel to the funeral. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Kaukauna.
