Ethel Marion HanlonOxnard, CAEthel, 94 went to be with our Lord on May 19, 2016. She was born on August 11, 1921 in Hartford, CT to Agnes Flemming Cushman and Arhtur Lewis Cushman. Ethel was the youngest of six children. She lived in rural CT. She came to Long Beach during WW2 and inspected parachutes. She met her husband Charles Burdick Hanlon on the Coronado Ferry in San Diego. They had 3 sons, Morton, Charles "Ceeb" and Michael. Her husband passed away at 37 years old, leaving her with three sons. She bought a home in Oxnard, CA. Boys all graduated from college with varying degrees. She volunteered at the St. Johns Hospital for 30 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had 18 grandchildren and a great grand child. A funeral service will be held at Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 905 Redwood St, Oxnard, CA 93033, on Sunday May 29th at 1:00 pm. Burial services will take place at Fort Rosecrans national cemetery in Sand Diego.I lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oxnard.Ethel has been entrusted to the care of the family owned and operated Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A St. Oxnard, CA 93030.
