Eugene Fernandes PerryDec. 02, 1926 - Sept. 15, 2017VisaliaEugene Perry of Visalia, CA was born on December 2, 1926 in Half Moon Bay, CA to Joe and Lucille Perry. He passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 into God's loving arms. Eugene spent his earlier years growing up and attending school in San Gregorio, CA on the family ranch. The family then moved to Hanford in the late 40's where they bought a ranch and built a dairy there on Flint Ave.He graduated from Hanford High and began working on the ranch and operating the dairy. In 1966, they sold the ranch and he moved to Visalia, CA and began working as a sales representative. His clients loved him. Eugene's success as a sales representative was due to his honesty, positive spirit, caring attitude and fun loving ways. Those that knew him can attest he was that way in his personal life as well. His community activities included being a member of the Eagles Fraternity where he served as president, the Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus and a parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church.Eugene is survived by his wife, Nadine Perry, his son, Steve Perry and his brother, Robert Perry. He had three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. A funeral mass will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in St Mary's Catholic Church, Visalia followed by a celebration of life luncheon at the Serra Center at 10:30 a.m. and burial service at Visalia Cemetery at noon.
