Yasick, EugeneEugene Yasick, age 90, of Neshkoro, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Markesan Resident Home. He was born on June 5, 1926, in Neshkoro, a son of Frank and Anna (Bednarek) Yasick. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Signal Corp. from 1945-1947. Eugene married Leona Hoeft on August 30, 1947, at St. John's Catholic Church in Princeton, where he was a lifelong member of the church. Eugene worked for 10 years for Soo Line Railroad and later for Speed Queen in Ripon for 35 years. His passion in life was farming, which he did and enjoyed his entire life. Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Leona Yasick; children, Lois (Ronnie) Gurke, Mike (Debbie) Yasick, Roy (Kathy) Yasick; daughter-in-law, Suzette Yasick; 7 grandchildren, Mark (Kari) Gurke, Lori Wagner; Adam (Jenny) Yasick, Annie (Josh) Davies; Justin Yasick, Josh Yasick; Stephen Brown; 8 great grandchildren, Morgan, Dylan and Darian Kuglin; Savannah, Kylie, and Dylan Brown; Logan and Cassie Wagner; 3 sisters, Eloise Tony, Beatrice Fortin, Bernadine Olsen; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Yasick; son, Larry Yasick; granddaughter, Monica Brown; sisters, Agatha Shurpit Bednarek, Bernice Wargula, Marcie Dins, Inez Reuping, Loretta Warmbier; brother, Gregory Yasick; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. A Memorial Mass for Eugene Yasick will take place on Friday, May 19, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Father Dale Grubba will conduct the service. Mr. Yasick will be laid to rest in St. John's Catholic Cemetery following the service. Please visit our website
