LITTLE RIVER, SC — The lord said "It's time," and Eugenia (Jeanne) F. Coble entered into eternal rest on Nov. 1, 2016 in Little River, S.C.
Jeanne, 70, was born on April 6, 1946 in Bennettesville, S.C. She graduated from Laurinburg High School in 1964 and later continued her education from Hardbarger Business School and Limestone Business College.
Jeanne worked in administration in Orange County and Cumberland County schools, as well as at Duke Power and SCE&G.
After retirement, Jeanne divided her time between Lake Murray, SC, and Little River, SC, where she enjoyed bird watching, taking care of wildlife, shagging to beach music, and boating. Her greatest passion was shell and shark tooth hunting.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Coble of Leesville/Little River, SC; daughters, Kimberly Ballou (Jim), Heather P. Coble of Charleston, SC; grandson, Jacob Ballou; granddaughter, Julia Ballou; Sister, Cynthia F. Salter (Michael); brother, Milton McIntyre Fairly III(Kathy); and nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her father Milton McIntyre Fairly Jr., and her sister Nancy S. Fairly.
The family thanks Lower Cape Fear Hospice Mercy Care for their compassionate care at this time.
A memorial service will be held on Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. at Calabash Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8820 Old Georgetown Road in Sunset Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to your local Humane Society or SPCA, or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Mercy Care.
