Butcher, Eva,BUTCHER, Eva Davis, 94, devoted wife of the late Raymond L. Butcher Sr. passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. She was born on November 5, 1922 to the late Edna and James Davis. She was a longtime parishioner of the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church where she volunteered countless hours to the PTA and the St. Ann's Alter Society. She graduated from Ahrens Trade School where she became an avid seamstress and she loved creating dresses for her family's special occasions. She dedicated her life to the care of others. She looked forward to the holidays and spent hours every year preparing the perfect Thanksgiving feast while watching her grandsons play basketball in her backyard out the kitchen window.Besides her husband, Eva was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Matthew Butcher, son-in-law, Joseph K. Ford, and daughter-in-law, Dorothy Butcher. She is survived by her three children, James Butcher and Raymond L Butcher Jr. (Peggy), both of Louisville, and Virginia Ford of Lexington, 10 grandchildren, Doug Butcher (Lisa), David Butcher (Natalie), Kevin Ford, Joseph R. Ford (Angela), Michael Butcher (Susan), Jeffrey Ford, Justin Ford (Stephanie), Josh Butcher, Nicholas Butcher, and Kristin Milam (Robert) and 13 great grandchildren. Eva was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the Mass from 9-10 am at St. Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the .
