Eva Lois Prestridge CrusenberryPineville - Funeral services celebrating the life of Eva Lois Prestridge Crusenberry were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana with Brother Phillip Robertson and Reverend Tom Jordan officiating. Burial was held in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.Eva Lois Crusenberry, 83, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 4, 2017.Eva was born on August 6, 1934 in Libuse, Louisiana, where she was raised. Eva was baptized at 12 years of age and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.Eva enjoyed being involved in her church and traveling the country alongside her husband, Louis Crusenberry. She was a dedicated LSU and Saints fan. Eva even had the pleasure of meeting her favorite player, Drew Brees, in 2015.Eva enjoyed bowling in the Women's International Bowling Congress. She was the Louisiana state bowling champion for one year and city champion for two years running. Eva retired from the Rapides Parish school system in 1997 after 20 years of employment.She married Louis Crusenberry on February 2, 1953 and was blessed with four children, seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Eva was a dedicated cheerleader for each of her grandchildren, spending countless nights at baseball and softball games.Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Olzie and Ira Prestridge; two brothers, Arlen and Atlee Prestridge; three sisters, Doris Fore, Dorothy Turner, and Ruby Roge'; son, Randall Crusenberry; daughter-in-law, Tina Jordan Crusenberry; grandson, Jordan Counts.Eva is survived by her loving husband, Louis Crusenberry; two sons, Wendell Crusenberry and wife, Brenda, and Greg Crusenberry; daughter, Debbie Counts; brother, Raymond Prestridge; sister, Inez Brown; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.Serving as Pallbearers will be Wendell Crusenberry, Jr., Dennis Crusenberry, Jeremy Counts, Parker Crusenberry, Carson Crusenberry, and Derek Prestridge.The Family would like to thank Hope Bryant with All Saints Hospice for the loving care and compassion she did for the Crusenberry family.
