Eva G. Owsichek1920 - 2013Eva G. Owsichek, 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Hospitality Manor.She was born on Nov. 10, 1920, to the late Arthur and Josephine (Osbourne) Wilmot in Kenosha. The Wilmot family largely lived in Colorado during the mining years. Her parents and siblings grew up as northsiders and Lake Michigan was their playground.Eva met Peter Owsichek in 1941. They were married after WWII. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1988.Eva worked at Coopers during the war.Eva participated in many state-bowling tournaments during the 1950s and 1960s. She was an original member of the 600 club. Eva enjoyed golfing, tennis and swimming. She also enjoyed playing the organ, the accordion and writing poems for family members. Eva loved caring for her beautiful roses and iriss.Eva is survived by her loving children, Ellen J. (John) Folland of Pleasant Prairie, David (Hope) Owsichek of Racine and Robert Owsichek of Kenosha, her grandchildren Amanda, Katie, Erik and Garret, her great grandson Anthony and her sister Mildred McDermott of Kenosha. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her brothers Vining Arthur and Warren Wilmot, her sisters, Lois Barber, Maxine Sawyer and Marjorie Schuelke and a grandson Peter Owsichek.A Celebration of Life for Eva will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 6 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
