Evelyn, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, was born on August 12, 1922, in Lake City, South Carolina, to her parents, William and Ruby Cook.She was a very special person who loved the church, her family and friends.Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Brooks of Fort Pierce, FL and sister, Juliette Osbourne of Turbeville, SC; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Grimes, and sons, Tommy McKenzie and Charles McKenzie, sister, Dorothy Jackson, and brothers, William, James and Maxie Cook.
