Mrs. Evelyn Green Durham was born to the late Freeman and Voila Green on February 22, 1943, in Savannah, Georgia. She was educated in Savannah- Chatham Public Schools. She retired after working for 40 years.

She later met and was united in holy matrimony by her late husband, Jim Durham.

Evelyn was proceeded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth "Puddin" Sherrill, and three brothers Freeman "Junior", Benjamin, and Herman Green.

She leaves to cherish, Three daughters: Shirley Green, Carolyn Green, and Alma (Stephen) English all of Savannah, Georgia. One brother: Freddie(Gloria) Green of Miami, Flordia. Two sisters: Elnora Young and Charlotte Green of Savannah, Georgia. Sister in law: Helen Green of Savannah, Georgia. Fifteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
