Evelyn Cookie Hall Evelyn Cookie Hall, 87, Topeka, passed away on November 24, 2016 at her home. Evelyn Dolores (Koch) Hall was born on January 8, 1929 in Lyndon to George and Eula (Schultz) Koch. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1946, and went on to attend Washburn University. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was a secretary for the Topeka State Hospital, First Christian Church and the Menninger Foundation, retiring in 1994. She married Robert E. Hall on October 15, 1950, and they made Topeka their home. Evelyn was a charter member of Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, and was a member of United Methodist Women. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time with her family. An avid reader and animal lover, Cookie spent many hours reading and watching wildlife. She also loved the holidays with Christmas as her favorite. She is survived by her husband Robert Hall; children, Sunny Adcock, Sheila Hall, and Terry Hall; grandchildren, Michele and Benjamin Kirby; great-grandson Tagger Weeks; and great-great-grandchildren Rhylin and Lukas Weeks. A funeral service will be held at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
