Helen Wolf SOUTH BEND — Helen M. Wolf, age 90, of South Bend, went to be with God in Heaven Monday afternoon, Oct. 10, 2016. at Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka. She was born on Feb. 2, 1926, in Sturgis, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Hazel (Johnson) Paulus. On Dec. 24, 1945, she married Henry I. Wolf, who preceded her in death in 1968. Helen is survived by her daughter, Euretta "Jane" (Michael) Beach of Crown Point, Indiana; her son, Roger L. Wolf of South Bend, Indiana; two granddaughters, Michelle (Robert Jr.) Ash and Angela (Tom) Truschka, along with six great-grandchildren, all of Crown Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and two brothers. Helen read her Bible and Daily Bread booklet every day. She loved bowling, from Ligonier Bowl to Chippewa Golden Gang League. Helen enjoyed watching all Notre Dame sports and NASCAR's Ryan Newman. Helen retired from Miles/Bayer Corporation. Helen will be buried at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, Indiana, beside her late husband. A celebration of Helen's life will be celebrated by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Enriching Life Hospices, 230 West Catalpa Drive, Suite D, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Evelyn Kreager LIGONIER — Evelyn Marie Kreager, age 85, of Ligonier, IN, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville, IN. She was born on June 14, 1931, the daughter of Orvis and Ena (Miller) Musser. On June 24, 1951, she married the character, Jack Kreager; he preceded her in death in 1979. She is survived by her children, Tony (Dixie) Kreager of Ligonier, IN, and Rita (Mark) Matson of Cromwell, IN; five grandchildren, Alison (Ben) Mead of Albion, IN, Lee (Emily) Kreager of Fort Wayne, IN, Andrea (Brock) Graves of Kendallville, IN, Justin (Tierney) Matson of Cromwell, IN, and Rachel (Darin) Coy of Fort Wayne, IN; nine and two halves great-grandchildren; sisters, Avis (Jerry) Nesbitt of Ligonier, and Sharon (Dick) Gregor, of Ligonier, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Martha Heath; along with a brother, Howard "Hob" Musser. Evelyn was a busy lady and worked for several years at Heintzelman's Grocery in Cromwell. She then spent many years making delicious homemade meals for school children, teachers and administrators at the old Perry School before retiring in 1985. Evelyn was well-known for her talents in the kitchen, to say the least. She will always be remembered for her unbelievable sugar cookies and telling stories that would make a sailor blush. Thankfully, she was also a charter member at Stone's Hill Community Church. A funeral service in Evelyn's honor was held at Stone's Hill Community Church, 151 W Stone's Hill Road, Ligonier, IN 46767, on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at 10 a.m. Pastor Joey Nelson will officiate. Burial followed at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN. Family and friends were received on Monday Oct. 10, 2016, from 3-8 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be directed to Stone's Hill Community Church. Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
