Evelyn M. MockCHANDLERSVILLE: Evelyn M. Mock, 85, of Chandlersville, passed away at 9:29 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at The Oaks at Northpointe surrounded by her family.She was born on April 8, 1930 in Zanesville a daughter of the late Earhardt and Bula (Lyons) Eck. She graduated from Chandlersville High School. She was a lifelong member of the Chandlersville United Methodist Church where she was the chairperson of the Communion Committee. She was a longtime 4-H advisor, had been employed at the Board of Elections, and was an outstanding seamstress sharing her talent with the Sewing Smorgasboard Committee.She is survived by her five children, Stephen (Juanita) Mock of Chandlersville, Robert (Linda) Mock of Zanesville, Sidney (Andrea) Mock of Chandlersville, Christina (Jeffrey) Hamill of Chandlersville, and Susan (Timothy) Thompson of White Cottage; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Yvonne) Eck, three sisters, Florence (Charles) Klein, Martha (Kinsey) Tanner, and Beverly Eck; one sister-in-law, Anna Eck, one brother-in-law, Junior Schell.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene C. Mock; one brother, James Lawrence Eck, one sister, Marjorie Schell; two grandsons, Kyle Mock and Brad Hamill.Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015. Pastor Gary Fitzgerald and Kinsey Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
