Parkinson, Evelyn Ruth Evelyn passed away at the age of 99 on June 24, 2017, surrounded by loving family members. Evelyn was born on June 3, 1918 in Ava, Missouri to the parents of Thomas Harrison and Clura (Horton) Mathis. Preceding her in death was her first husband Joseph Sheets, second husband Marion Parkinson and brother Thomas. She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Diane) and Terry (Anna) Sheets, five grandchildren, Jenny, Julie, Tracey, Stephanie and Megan; twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Evelyn's many talents included writing poetry, painting, sewing, knitting, quilting and crocheting. Until recent years, she was very active at the Sun City Christian Church. Evelyn was very grateful for the wonderful caregivers she had at INtouch Elder Care where she resided for the past five years. This amazing lady will be greatly missed by her family and friends who called her "the energizer bunny."
