Ezetha Coleman was born to the union of Louis and Frances Porter in Chicago, Illinois on April 26, 1918. Her parents preceded her in death.

Ezetha attended Corpus Christi Elementary and Englewood High School in Chicago. She began her work career as an employee of the United States Postal Service and later worked in the hospitality services industry.

Ezetha was very outspoken, strong, and independent. She said what she meant and meant what she said!

Ezetha loved her family, and especially her grand and great-grandchildren dearly, there was nothing she would not do for them.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter , Marian Coleman and Barbara Coleman ; her son Leotis Coleman , her two brothers John and Wills Coleman ; one sister Martha ; seven grandchildren, Tunisha, Kenzie, Kenya, Malik, Ashley, Shyvoone, Samella; and a host of relatives and friends.
