Alice “Faith” Gaskin Curtiss, passed away at home with her loved ones on May 31, 2022 at the age of 45.
Faith was born on January 22, 1977. An independent and vibrant personality throughout her life, Faith was always an achiever. Not only did she learn to play many instruments, she could tune up any engine and loved to learn new things. She graduated with a degree in Human Resources in 2011 which paved the way for her successful career.
On June 27th, 1987, Faith devoted her life to her God Jehovah through baptism and was a member of the Lake Murray Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Matthew 10:29 where the reassurance that God knows and remembers her brought Faith great comfort and peace in her final days.
After meeting Glen Curtiss and becoming fast friends, friendship soon turned to love. On October 3, 2003, Faith and Glen were married. They spent their years together traveling, building custom street bikes together and spending time with friends and family.
Faith is survived by her husband, Glen Russell Curtiss, her father Robert Gaskin and wife Devona, her mother Rebecca (Bob) Hancock, and her sister Rebecca (Jerry) Bowers. She was predeceased by her brother, Brian Gaskin. Additional survivors include her step-siblings Tomas Perez and wife Ieshia, Ted Hancock and Beverly Hancock, as well as her aunts Judith (William) Swygert, Karen (Chuck) Hay, Pat (Johnny) Driggers and her uncle William Hallman and his wife Louise.
A beautiful woman with a brilliant mind and loving heart, a talented musician, a diverse personality, a wife, daughter, sister, niece, friend and more; Faith will be genuinely missed.
A memorial service to honor Faith’s memory will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 4pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (1048 West Shady Grove Road Irmo, SC 29063).
