Fay Lynn Simon, 73, passed away on November 7, 2016 at her home in Harahan, Louisiana. She was born on July 10, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Albert and Eva Joseph. Fay grew up in New Orleans, LA. She graduated high school from Warren Eastern in New Orleans in 1964. She worked for Harahan Elementary School as a hall monitor and teachers assistant for 22 years before retiring to help care for her grandchildren. Fay married Ronald Simon in 1970 In New Orleans, LA. They were very happily married for 46 Years. Fay had been a past member of the Harahan Lions Club and Harahan Parents Club. She enjoyed all kinds of social activities. She loved to play Bingo with friends and have Casino nights with her husband Ronnie. Most of all Fay just loved to be around her friends and family. Her free spirit and outgoing personality could not be denied. For those who have had the pleasure to know Fay, they will forever have a lasting memory of her vivacious and spirited presence. Fay is survived by her husband Ronald John Simon of Harahan, Louisiana; her sons Alva (AJ) and Aaron; daughter Melissa; her sisters Mary Ann and Mickey; her grandchildren Joshua, Jessica, Tyler, Dylan, Kylie, and Aiden; as well as her nieces and nephews who she loved very much. Fay was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Eva; her brothers Albert Jr, and Phillip; and her sister Phyllis. Her funeral service will be held at JACOB SCHOEN & SON in New Orleans.
