Faye BishopNov. 04, 1944 - Oct. 08, 2017Pismo Beach, CAElsie Faye Bailey Bishop passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 in San Luis Obispo California surrounded by her family. Faye was born on November 4, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee into a large extended family and lived most of her life in the Central Valley. She was the daughter of Truman and Elsie Bailey who preceded her in death. Faye is survived by her husband of 52 years Charles Robert "Bob" Bishop, her daughter Kimberley Ann Bishop of Visalia, her granddaughter Lindsey Kaylee Bishop of Visalia, her sisters Rebecca Anne O'Bar of Bakersfield, Michelle Bailey Chapman of Porterville and Wendi Willis of Exeter, her nephews Mike Willis, Cody Patterson, Ethan Patterson, Ben Patterson, nieces Sarah Patterson, Katie Willis, Hannah Willis, and great nieces Madilyn and Savannah Willis.Faye graduated from Exeter Union High School in June 1962 where she was an active member of the student body. She completed her Associate of Arts degree from College of the Sequoias in Visalia California where she graduated in 1964. Faye and Bob were married on October 20, 1965 and lived in Farmersville California for many years. They relocated to Visalia when their daughter Kimberley began High School. Faye worked for the Tulare County office of Education for over 40 years in the business department. Faye's greatest joy was watching her daughter grow up and she and Bob were very involved parents. Recently she had been enjoying her granddaughter Lindsey play a variety of musical instruments in local and regional orchestras, play in her school's marching band, and participate in school sports. Faye was an avid quilter and has a fabric collection second to none. For the last 3 years, Faye and her husband Bob have resided in Pismo, California where they were involved in Bunco groups, quilting guilds, and other activities. Faye had a heart of gold and always wanted others to be taken care of ahead of herself. She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Exeter District Cemetery.
