Brown, Felix J., Jr. 83, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016, at his home in Wichita. Felix was born on January 29, 1933, in Wheatley, AR, the son of Felix and Ninnie (Long) Brown. Felix served in the U.S. Navy, Naval Honor Guard, and U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He worked as an Avionic Navigation Systems Technician and Electronics Mechanic. Felix retired after 22 years from the U.S. Air Force. Following his retirement from the military, he worked for Goodyear, Firestone and Tru-Circle Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Margaret (Barkovich) Brown; second wife; Elizabeth "Betty" K. Brown; sister, Christine (Brown) White. Survivors include his loving children, Jeff, Ronne (Earl), Robyn (Craig) and James (Gwyn); 4 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and 3 nieces. A visitation with family present will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday. March 28, 2016; Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita.
